Norell John E 710318 np Former Patterson Man Dies in Santa Cruz; Services were held March 12 in Wessendorf and Holmes Mortuary, Santa Cruz, for John Edward Norell, 83, a former resident of Patterson, who died March 9 in a Santa Cruz hospital. Mr. Norell was the uncle of Ivan and Jack Stewart of Patterson. Cremation followed the Santa Cruz service which was conducted by the Rev. John Martin and the American Legion. Interment was in the family plot, Patterson District Cemetery. A native of Cental City, Nebraska, Mr. Norrell lived in Patterson from the early 1920's until 1937 when the family moved to Santa Cruz. He operated a feed, fuel and ice business on Highway 33, and was a veteran of World Wars I and II. Other survivors are his widow, Mrs. Josie Norell; three stepsons, Henry Del Biaggio of Gilroy, Pat Del Biaggio of Fairfield, and William Del Biaggio of San Jose; a brother, Jay Norell of Long Beach; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two other nephews, Harold Stewart of San Francisco and Bill Stewart of San Jose
