Two Die as Truck Rolls During Chase;  A high speed chase that began in the Manteca area late Friday night ended in a
crash northwest of Westley that claimed the lives of two men.  A Manteca police officer saw a pickup truck slow down
but not stop at a stop sign. He gave chase, suspecting drunk driving, and chased the truck at high speeds on 1-5 and then
Highway 132.  The truck, driven by 37 year old David Nuce of Manteca, turned south on Welty Road, crossed Highway
33 near Vernalis, and rolled over several times when it dead-ended at Hamilton Road.  Nuce, who was thrown from the
pickup, and passenger Leslie Castro, 44. were pronounced dead at the scene. Castro was held in by a seat belt.
