Alice N. Nunes, 82;  Final rites will be held Wednesday in Hayward for Alice Nadine Nunes, 82, of Newman.  She died
last Thursday at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.  A native of Fresno, she had lived in Newman the past 23 years and
had friends here.  She was a homemaker and member of the Newman 50-Plus Club and F.D.E.S. of Newman.  A
graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Hayward.  Survivors include her husband, Joseph
Nunes of Newman; a brother, Claude Appleton of Santa Cruz; a sister, Eleanor Carvahlo of San Leandro; and four
grandchildren.
