Nunes Charlotte P 960215 p3 Former Patterson resident Charlotte Prater Nunes died Monday at Glenwood Convalescent Home in Oxnard following a short illness. She was 89. A native of Flores, Azores Islands, she came to this country with her family when she at 5 years old, and was raised in Ventura County. After her, marriage to Tony Nunes, she moved to Patterson where she was active for many years in the Portuguese community. She was a past president of both SPRSI No. 121 and UPPEC No. 82 of Patterson, and was a past member of the Newman 50-Plus Club, handling its publicity here for many years. She also served as president of the Altar Society of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 25 years. "She loved Patterson and missed it very much," said a grandson, Vincent Ines Jr., of Oxnard. Declining health forced her to move to Oxnard in 1993. A rosary will be recited today, Thursday, at 7 p.m. at the James A. Reardon Mortuary Chapel, 511 N. A St., Oxnard. A Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in that city, with burial in Santa Clara Cemetery to follow. Survivors include a daughter, Adleen Warren of Oxnard; four grandchildren, Mary Ines, Vincent Ines Jr., and Teresa Ines, all of Oxnard, and Stan Warren of Camarillo; a great-granddaughter, Christina Solis of Santa Paula; and three brothers, Joe of Hanford, Albert of Oxnard, and Tony Prater of Camp Verde, Ariz..
