Patterson Pioneer Dies Suddenly; Final rites were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Mission Covenant Church for
Erick Ohlson, 77, who passed away Thursday morning in Del Puerto Hospital after a sudden illness. The service was
conducted by the Rev. Franklin Satterberg and interment followed in Del Puerto Cemetery.  Evans Chapel was in charge
of arrangements. A native of Sweden, Mr. Ohlson was a retired dairyman and had lived in Patterson since 1910.  He was
a charter member of the Mission Covenant Church. Mr. Ohlson is survived by his wife, Agnes, of Elm Avenue; two
daughters, Mrs. Edith Prather of Mountain View and Mrs. Marian Olson of Turlock; three sons, Herman Ohlson of
Patterson, and Alvin and Lloyd Ohlson of Modesto: 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two brothers in
Sweden.
