Ascension M. Oliva, 92;  Final rites were held this week in Escalon for Ascension M. Oliva, 92 died Jan. 11 at her home
in that city.  She was 92.  Born in El Paso, Texas, she had lived the past 55 years in Escalon and was a homemaker. She
was a member of St. Patrick s Catholic Church in Escalon, where a Mass was held Wednesday morning. Burial was in St.
John s Cemetery, Escalon.  Survivors include three sons, Danny and Steve Oliva of Manteca and Marcus Oliva of
Patterson; two daughters. Carmelita Alvarez of Escalon and Lillian Castillo of Patterson; and 17 grandchildren, 19 great-
grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.  Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon was in charge of the arrangements.
