Funeral Today for Oliveira; A requiem mass will be celebrated today, Thursday, at 10 a.m. at St. Joachims Catholic
Church, Newman, for Roland Frank Oliveira, 44, who died Monday at his home on Jorgenson Road between Crows
Laming and Newman. Interment well be in Hills Ferry Cemetery. Oliveira was a native of St. Miguel Island in the
Azoves.  During his residence in this area, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, S.E.S., U.P.E.C. and of the
Benevolent Society. He is survived by his wife, Sadie Oliveira at the home in Newman; one son, Gary Joseph, 13, and
two daughters, Natalie Ann, 10, and Janet Lee, 7; his mother, Mrs. Sarafina D. Oliveira, Newman; four brothers, Joseph
D. Oliveira, Jr,. and Manuel D. Oliveira, both of Newman; Tony J. Oliveira, Newark, and Albert J. Oliveira, Stockton,
and five sisters. The sisters are Mrs. Elsie Silveira, Mrs. Agnes Silveira, Mrs. Mary Fantazia, and Mrs. Sara Tucker, all of
Newman, and Mrs. Dorothy Menezes, Gustine.
