Olson O P 490421 p1 O.P. Olson, Pioneer resident, Is Taken by Death Saturday; Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for O. P. Olson, 84, pioneer Patterson resident. Death came at his home on Las Palmas Ave. following an extensive illness Saturday evening. Born in Norway, he came to the United States in 1866. Prior to his coming to Patterson 37 years ago, he was engaged in business and banking operations in Iowa and Minnesota. He leaves his widow, Nettie, with whom he celebrated their golden wadding anniversary in 1944, and four sons, Marion and Donald, of Patterson; Arthur, of Alameda and Wyman, of Del Paso Heights and five grand-children, Robert, Audrey, Jon, Jay, and Donna Marie. Last rites took place Tuesday afternoon at Our Saviour's Lutheran church with the Rev. Magnus Anderson and the Rev. Harold Brown of San Francesco officiating. Speaking for a few minutes at the ceremony were two friends of the deceased, Rev. M. K. Hartman, and Rev. George Shurshon, both of Oakland. Interment followed in Del Puerto cemetery. The Evans Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
