Westley Man Dies from Stab Wound;  A Westley man died Thursday night of a single stab wound in the chest.
The coroner s office determined that Victor Ortega, 26, died when his heart was punctured by the blade of a butcher
knife.  Pablo Castro, 24, is under investigation for murder.  The two men fought in front of Ortega's home on Walt
Avenue at about 9:20 p.m.  Witnesses said the fight stemmed from Castro s accusation that Ortega had smashed the
windshield of his brother s pickup truck earlier that evening.  Castro drove to Ortega s with his woman friend and
challenged Ortega on the street, where the two men fought.  Witnesses told Sheriffs Department investigators that Ortega
was unarmed.  A friend of Ortega s wrestled with Castro and held him on the ground until deputies arrived.  A butcher
knife found at the scene was confiscated as the weapon that killed Ortega.
