Services Held for Ray Van Cleave; Services are being held today, Tuesday for Ray H. Van Cleave, 71, of Patterson
The retired farmer was pronounced dead at 9:37 a.m. Sunday in Doctors Hospital, Modesto.  Cause of death was listed as
self-inflicted. He was born March 16, 1915 in Oklahoma and moved to Patterson some 50 years ago.  He is survived by
his wife Fern, of Patterson; a son Dennis, Texas; another son Ron, Oregon; a daughter, Carolyn Cooper, Patterson; a
brother Fred, Oklahoma; a sister Marie Furtney, Patterson; another sister Doris Thurman, Oklahoma; a third sister
Aquilla Haely, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services are at 2 p.m. in the Hillview
Funeral Chapel, Patterson, with burial to follow at Lakewood Cemetery, Hughson.  Pastor Hardy Reeves, presiding.
