Van Elswyk Juanita E 010315 p12 Juanita E. Van Elswyk, 77; A former Patterson woman died Monday at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. Juanita Evelyn Van Elswyk of Oakdale was 77. She had resided in Patterson from 1944 to 1966 before moving to Oakdale. She was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., and had lived in Stanislaus County for 57 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Modesto. A rosary will be held today, Thursday, at 7 p.m. at Eaton Family Funeral Home in Modesto. A Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9 am. at Our Lady of Fatima, with burial in the Knights Perry Cemetery to follow. Visitation at the mortuary will be today from 4-8 p.m. Survivors include her husband, Jacob Van Elswyk of Oakdale; six sons, Donald York of Texas, Roy Shipley of Patterson, Timothy Shipley of Oakdale, Robert Van Elswyk of Sacramento, Mark Van Elswyk of Oakdale, and Lawrence Van Elswyk of Deshler, Neb.; two daughters, Linda Erler of Turlock and Lorraine Van Elswyk of Chico; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Bill Sharp of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Lewis and Donald Sharp, both of Portland.
