Service Friday for Lige Van Winkle; A funeral service will be held here Friday for Lige Edward Van Winkle, 78. who
died Monday in a Ceres convalescent hospital. He was a native of Oklahoma and had lived the past 40 years In the
Modesto-Ceres area. He was a farm laborer. The service is set for 2 p.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel with the Rev.
Vernon Vineyard officiating. Burial will be in Patterson District Cemetery. Viewing will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include a half brother. Lester Parsons of Seattle. Wash.; and five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
