Jane Gail Vastbinder, 55;  A service was held here Monday for lifelong Patterson resident Jane Gail Vastbinder.  She
died Thursday at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.  She was 55.  A Patterson native, she had been an
office clerk at Patterson Frozen Foods.  She recently underwent heart transplant surgery in the Bay Area.  A service was
held Monday morning at Hillview Funeral Chapel.  Burial was in Patterson District Cemetery.  Survivors include her
husband, Michael Vastbinder of Patterson; a son, Robert Benson of Patterson; two daughters, Beverly Castillo of
Modesto and Gail Mattos of Gustine; four grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Farinha of Patterson, Barbara Thorkelson of
Modesto, and Marge Johnson of  Twain Harte; and an aunt, Stella Anderson of Patterson.  Remembrances should be sent
to the Heart Transplant Fund, in care of California Pacific Medical Center Foundation, PO Box 7999, San Francisco;
