Ventuleth Fredrick F 630912 p1 Fred Ventuleth Dies Suddenly Tuesday Evening; Funeral services will be held at 2 pm today, Thursday, for Fredrick F. Ventuleth, 70, who died early Tuesday evening. Ventuleth had played golf Tuesday morning and was sitting in his yard reading the paper when he died suddenly about 6 pm. The Masonic services will be conducted in Evans Funeral Chapel by Richard Ayres. Interment will be in Del Puerto cemetery. Ventuleth was a native of Golden, Colorado. He had lived in Gilroy and moved to Patterson in 1919. He formerly managed the Eagle Drug store. He and his wife, Edwina, retired from the drug store in February, 1962. He was a charter member and past president of the Patterson Rotary club and a veteran of WWI. He was an active member of the Patterson Golf and Country Club and had twice been master of the Masonic lodge in Patterson. He was a member of the Ashmes Shrine temple in Oakland and a member of the Scottish Rites Bodies of San Jose. He was a member of the Patterson-Westley Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion. He is survived by one son, Fredrick of New York, who returned to New York from Patterson last weekend; one stepson, Douglas McElhern of Patterson; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Frances Miller of Modesto; a sister, Mrs. Emily Prescott of San Francisco; and two grandchildren.
