Services Held for Jacob Verlo; Newman � Funeral service were held Tuesday morning in the Evans-Krieger Funeral
Chapel in Newman for Jacob 0. Verlo, 95, who died Feb. 14 at West Side Community Hospital.  A native of Madison,
South Dakota, he moved to Wisconsin in 1919, where he worked 31 years for the Wisconsin highway department s
maintenance crew.  He moved to Newman 10 years ago.  He is survived by his wife Edith; two daughters, Mrs. Rudy
Ponce De Leon of Newman and Mrs. Jean Mooney of Irvine; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Inge Eggebraten of
Seattle, Wash., Ruth Stiles and Mabel Verlo of Springfield. Illinois.  Interment was in Hills Ferry Cemetery
