Driver in Hwy. 33 Accident Dies in Modesto Hospital; Final rites are being planned here for Jose G. Vieira, 35, who died
Tuesday in a Modesto hospital of injuries received in a single car accident April 10. He was the driver of an auto that
overturned on Highway 33 about a mile south of Vernalis.  Anita Guerra Tatom of Patterson was killed outright in the
accident. A native of Portugal, he had lived in Patterson the past several years and was employed as a construction
worker.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Anthony's Society of Patterson.  A rosary will be
recited Friday at 7 p m at Hillview Funeral Chapel. Viewing will be the same day from 4-8 p. m. also at the chapel.
A Mass will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. Clay Kilburn officiating.  Burial in
Patterson District Cemetery will follow. Survivors include his wife, Brianda Vieira of Patterson, two daughters, Tanya
and Melissa Vieira, both of Patterson, his parents, Jose and Theresa Vieira of Portugal, and a brother and sister, Paul
Vieira and Fatima Velazquez, both of Massachusetts.
