Joe Vieira, 88;  Joe Vieira of Turlock died Jan. 6 following a long illness.  He was 88.  A native of the Azores, he came to
this country when he was an infant.  He had lived in Turlock 87 years.  He was a truck driver for 42 years and worked for
the Milk Producers Association.  He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and Teamsters Union Local 386.
He formerly belonged to the Old Fisherman's Club.  A Mass was held last Wednesday at St. Stanislaus Church, with
burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Survivors include one son, Donald Vieira of Patterson; three daughters, Margaret
Barrett of Ceres, Lorraine Clark of Boise, Idaho, and Norma Gemperle of Turlock; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-
grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Amelia Henriques of Modesto.  Remembrances should be
sent to Hospice of Emanuel Medical Center, 820 Delbon Ave., Turlock, Calif. 95380.
