Manuel Vieira, 82;  Final rites will he held Wednesday in Turlock for Manuel Vieira.  He died last Friday at Emanuel
Medical Center in that city.  He was 82.  A native of Turlock, he grew up in the Turlock-Hilmar area.  He lived in Gustine
for 12 years and in Patterson the past 24 years.  He served as a foreman for A.V. Thomas for 25 years and worked for Cal
Trans for 18 more before retirement.  He also was a member of U.P.E.C.  A rosary will he held tonight, Tuesday, at 7
o'clock at the Allen Mortuary in Turlock.  A Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church in Turlock.  Burial in Turlock Memorial Park will follow.  Visitation will be Tuesday until 9 p.m. at the
mortuary.  Survivors include his wife, Violet Marie Vieira of Patterson; two daughters, Diane Silva of Turlock and
Patricia Rego of Gustine; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Minnie Vargas and Evelyn
Hall, both of Ceres, Dolores Moniz of Santa Clara, and Marianne Fogal of Madera.  Remembrances should be sent to the
American Heart Association, PO Box 4933 Modesto, Calif. 95352; or the American Cancer Society, 400 12th St.
Modesto.
