Anna Vierra, 89;  Final rites are set for Wednesday for longtime Vernalis resident Anna Vierra.  She died Friday at her
home. She was 89.  A native of Livingston, she lived in Turlock for a number of years before moving to the Vernalis area
about 40 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson and well as S.E.S.
Council 18 in Stevinson.  A rosary will be recited tonight, Tuesday, at 7 o clock at the Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Chapel
in Turlock. A Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Turlock where she previously
was a member.  Burial will be in Turlock Memorial Park.  Survivors include two sons, David J. and Daniel J. Vierra, both
of Vernalis; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Santos of Livingston. Remembrances
should be sent to the American Cancer Society, 400 12th St., Suite 27, Modesto, Calif. 95354; or to the Tracy Hospice.
