Eligio G. Villarreal, 93
Word has been received here of the death of Eligio G. Villarreal, 93, who died Nov. 1 in Merced.
He was a native of Mexico who moved to Texas with his family when he was 6 years old. He then moved to Merced
County in 1965.
A Mass was held Nov. 6 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in LeGrand.  Burial was in Plainsburg Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Consuelo Villarreal of LeGrand; four sons, Lazaro, Juan and Leonel, all of LeGrand, and Eligio
Villarreal Jr. of Merced; six daughters, Manuela Salazar, Delia Varques and Virginia Saldana, all of LeGrand, Dominga
Marroquin and Irma Marroquin, both of Patterson, and Guadalupe Lopez of Raymondville, Texas; 38 grandchildren, 54
great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Remembrances should be sent to the American Heart Association.
