Mother's property mentioned (Luz Ruiz) deceased 2. Neighbor, Jose Antonio Serrano - House and lot East of Large house; hall, 2 bedrooms, 2 inner room, store room, back yard enclosed with adoby wall. 3. Rancho at San Francisco - called Agua Hedionda, consisting of three square leagues of land and dwelling house. 4. Land in Baja Claifornia - consisting of Cueros de Venado 5. 40 head of horses and mules and 30 head, gentle and broken and 400 head of cattle on San Francisco Rancho. 6. A brand, totaling 30, of breeding mares, a stallion and a Jack; 4 gentle horses and 50 head of short horned cattle. 7. Two wagons and a carriage at house on his property 8. No debts of any kind. 9. Bequeaths to children - first property menrioned pre- viously belonging to his mother Luz Ruiz, land with house "large room" 10. To wife Felipa Osuna - dwelling house described in second land description excepting two house lots, Which are on either side there - bequeaths to four children and not to wife. 11. 4 children bequeathed three square leagues of land forming ranch of San Francisco or Agua Hedionda, except- where the house is situated he bequeaths to his wife and also the house. Brother - Sylvester Marrow - received in ranch at San Francisco called Agua Hadionda, the part called "Salto in Buenavista" and use the "planting lands," of "Rinconada" and he may use thew water from the spring of "Salto of Buenavista" for irrigating the planting land. He also granrs the right of placing livestock on the range of the ranch and also to the heirs of Sylvestor, but they may not pass that right to a third person. He must look after the welfare of the Testor's family for these. 12. All livestock on Ranch at San Francisco, Agua Hedionda, to be divided equally between wife and children. 13. To son Juan Nepomuceno, he gives his part of the land of the cuevod de Vinado for himself alone. 14. The household furnishings are to belong to his wife, but in the event of her death or remarriage to be divdedamong the four children. 15. To wife, the carrage mentioned in item 7 and the two wagons to wife and children to be used jointly. 16. He declared that Thomas W. Sutherland, lawyer of San Fran- cisco, has in his possession, certain documents of the Value of a sum of money which Testor reclaimed from the U S Government, the receipt for which "I hild in my hands in my writing desk." 17. Brother-in-law Leander Osuna, qwes the testator 10 heifers and six cows with calves. 18. Jose R Arguello of Tia Juana owes testator 2 barren cows and 2 yearling steers. 19. "Compadre Sylvestre de la Portella" qwes him 2 good wagons, 5 yoke of oxen, 10 head of horses and mares and 2 jacks. 20. All undeclared property to be divided equally between wife and children. 21. Declared that all cattle or horse kind with brand or ear mark of wife, was her own seperate property. 22. Declares that some cattle and 10 famillies which have his brand inverted on the left side are the private property of my son Jesus. 23. All Cattle and horses which are on his ranch and branded with brand known in his family as that of my son Juan Nepomuceno are his private property 24. All Cattle or horse kind with brand which is known to family as my son Jose Cayayano is his private property. 25. Was left out of translation and placed at the end of will. In it, testator appoints wife, Felipa Osuna, wife, as guardian for the children. 26. Executors (1) Felipa Osuna, wife and (2) Sylvestre Morrow, brother, to serve without bond. 27. Revokes other wills.
