About the National Society Children of the American Revolution
Children of the American Revolution, the nation's oldest and largest patriotic youth organization, offers membership to anyone under the age of 21, lineally descended from someone who served in the Continental Army or gave material aid to the cause of freedom in the American Revolution.
The National Society of the Children of the American Revolution, founded in 1895.
Members gain invaluable leadership experience in conducting meetings, following parliamentary procedures and standard protocol, serving as delegates and speaking before groups at local, state and national conferences. The responsibility and privilege of selecting officers helps members gain an understanding of the democratic process.

Membership Requirements
Anyone under the age of 21 is eligible for membership if he or she can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. Acceptable documentation must be provided for each generation. Please contact us to see if we can help you prove your lineage.

Our Thanks to Amador Community Foundation!
The Hiram C. Meek Society would like to extend its thanks to the Amador Community Foundation for the 2010 Grant of $700 for our restoration of the Hiram C. Meek cemetery plot at Jackson Historic Cemetery. The money will go exclusively to restoring the broken headstones and erosion abatement to prevent further damage to the plot.
