The John Chew Chapter was organized on 11 June 1958, by founding members. Mrs. Dorothy Chew Mason was the chapter's first Regent. The chapter was named for the ancestor of the Organizing Regent, John Chew, who was a Virginia Burgess. Most members are from the local area; however, some members are from other areas, as well. Local residency is not a requirement for membership in any chapter.

The John Chew Chapter meets on the first Wednesday of January, March, May and November, at 1:30 p.m. in member homes. If you would like to attend one of our meetings, please contact us.

We welcome any woman for membership who is a citizen of the United States of America, of good moral character, who has attained her eighteenth year. Information on membership in the National Society Daughters of the American Colonists can be found here.

We invite you to discover more about our chapter, as well as the National Society and the Texas Society, by following the links we have provided. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming meetings!
