Activities

The Society typically sponsors two bus trips to the Los Angeles area for genealogy research.  Destinations have included the Los Angeles Public Library, the libraries of the Southern California Genealogical Society, the LDS Family History Center in Los Angeles on Santa Monica Blvd, the Sons of the American Revolution and the Immigration Genealogical Society Library.

In addition, the Society sponsors workshops and training sessions and celebration events.

• Aug 18 - Pete Gianopulis, "Oil-Dorado & Growing Up in Taft", Tejon Room, Beale Memorial Library, 1PM.

• Sep 15 - Kern Co. Museum Docent, "Lopez House"; Field trip to the Kern County Museum, 1PM.

• Oct 20 - Bus trip to Southern California Genealogical Society, $25 per person due by Oct2, contact Dee Dahleen 661-588-0154 for more detail and to make a reservation.

• Nov 17 - John Codd, "Tour of Old Union Cemetery", meet at Union Cemetery, 1 PM.

• Dec 15 - KCGS Christmas Potluck; Tejon Room, Beale Memorial Library, 1PM.
