For the KCGS monthly meeting schedule and topics, please click on the "MEETINGS" button.

The Society typically sponsors bus trips to the Los Angeles area for genealogy research.  Destinations have included the Los Angeles Public Library, the libraries of the Southern California Genealogical Society, the LDS Family History Center in Los Angeles on Santa Monica Blvd, the Sons of the American Revolution and the Immigration Genealogical Society Library.

In addition, the Society sponsors workshops and training sessions and celebration events.

May 11  --  Internet Basics  --  Learn tips and tricks for finding reliable websites & effective search strategies. Requires knowledge of keyboard and mouse. Saturday at 4:00PM, Gates Computer Lab at Beale Memorial Library. For more information call (661) 868-0770.

May 21  --  FamilySearch.org  --  Abraham Rodriquez, genealogy researcher, will share tips and tricks of navigating the new features of familysearch.org. Presented by the Kern County Genealogy Society. Tuesday at 1:00PM in the Tejon Room of the Beale Memorial Library. For more information call (661) 868-0773.
