checkNewspaper Extracts of Vital Records
Birth, Marriage and Death records from the Lankershim Laconic, Lankershim Press, North Hollywood Press and the San Fernando Valley Times have been extracted by members of the San Fernando Valley Genealogical Society over many years. The information has been published in their books: "San Fernando Valley Vital Statistics - Volume I, II, III and IV". The years covered are 1911 to 1945. You can check the extracted names by visiting the SFVGS web site and then contact them for the complete information. (They do not have vital records information on people who lived in the Valley before 1911 or after 1945.)
The newspapers are located in the Pico Adobe which is the home of the San Fernando Valley Historical Society.
