NOTICE TO RESEARCHERS

LIBRARY will be closing August 1 until further notice.

Our library will be moving in late summer or early fall. The visitor center is closing the first week of September. We expect we will be closed for about two months to pack the library and move to a new home. When the final plans are approved for the move, we will update this page.

    Hours:
    Thursday 1 pm - 3 pm
    Friday 10 am - 2 pm
    Saturday (2nd Saturday)
    10:30 am - 3pm

It is recommended that researchers contact us before visiting the library. We have no substitute staffing at this time. Appointments can be made for other days. Contact Anita Crabtree - anitajc@pacific.net

Welcome to the Lake County Genealogical Society Library. We house a large collection of Lake County genealogical and historical materials, and books from most U.S. states.

We have a microfilm reader and copy machine for researchers to use.

Wi-fi now available.

Research Request - Look-ups
We will look-up one surname for free. The cost of other research will be determined by the amount of time and copies needed. Please use only one Lake County research organization for we are a small county and work together. E-mail research request to Anita Crabtree: anitajc@pacific.net.

With the library closing look-ups, we will continue to answer your research questions.
