Eva Lucille Barnett Rogers, a resident of Winton, passed away on May 17, 2003. She was 76 years old.
Eva received her education from different schools, in Coffeyville, Kansas. Graduation from Emporia State Teacher College in Emporia, Kansas. Eva's first teaching job was a one room school with thirteen students. Building her own fires in a pot belly stove to keep her students warm, to using an outhouse in the corner of the school yard was a few things Eva endured in the beginning of her teaching career. She loved teaching children and everyday with equitable enthusiasm continued her teaching for over forty plus years. Twenty-two of those years at Franklin School in Merced.

Eva belonged to the C.T.A., C.R.T.A., and the Genealogical Assoc. of Merced County. In her retirement Eva made games & teaching aids for the teachers out of yarn, plastic and canvas.

Upon the request of Eva all Funeral Services will be private. Services are under the direction of Wilson Family Funeral Chapel.
