Date: 22 August 2000
Location: Veterans Homecoming Park corner of Hwy 22 and 5th Street SE.
Description: Obelisk shape, approximately 7.5 feet in height with a 6 foot square base. Two plaques on east facing side.
Construction: Field rocks from the local area retained in cement and set on a cement base.

Comments: The Veterans Homecoming
Park has been constructed with a great deal of forethought. It
has a semi-circular road around the back of the monument suitable
for RV traffic of any size. The park has a nice grassed area
adjacent to the road with picnic tables and garbage disposal
cans. It is very well maintained and well worth visiting.
