Western Nevada County Resource Guide  First published in year 2000, it has been revised and expanded. The Resource Guide includes a brief history of Nevada County, a time line of historic firsts and significant events in county history, a list of cities and towns, and hints for researchers.

The Resource Guide is divided into eleven sections:

     2. public and private libraries
     3. museums
     4. gold mines
     5. gold mining state parks
     6. churches
     7. cemeteries
     8. miscellaneous organizations and contacts
     9. out-of-county resources

1856 Directory of Nevada (City), Grass Valley and Rough and Ready  Reprint contains the first rare history ever written of Nevada County.  After the original Directory was published there was a fire in Nevada City (the county seat). The entire business district and most of the residences burned. Most of the directories were destroyed.  The Directory contains 45-50 full page business advertisements and an index has been created (the original never had one).
