To help you find your Nevada County ancestors, NCGS volunteers will do limited research of records available within the Society's library collection. We will search NCGS materials for up to one (1) hour for $15.00. Up to 5 photocopies may be included in that charge. There is no guarantee that your request will be found.

We will notify you if additional pages are available. Additional photocopies cost $0.50 each. We will search in the Foley Library (Nevada County Historical Library) collection. If we feel your research requires more than one hour, or if the information is not available in these collections, we will send you a list of professional researchers in the area and/or the address of the facility holding the information. If that is the case, your check will be returned.

Specify the record(s) to be searched from the list above. Include the time frame and relevant name(s) and documents.  Providing additional details about the individual or family may also be helpful to us. E-mail your request to: N. Sauers  You will be billed for research fees as outlined above.

A list of land records, mining claims and indexes, city and county directories, cemeteries and mortuaries, newspapers, mines and geology (including information about specific mines in the area), and post offices.  A detailed list of these record collections will be sent to you on request.
