WW1 Attestation Papers of Women in the War

This page is dedicated to that group of people whose contribution and importance is so often overlooked in the story of the Great War.

I became intrigued with finding out the names of these women who saw such horrors in the War and who are only given first initials instead of names on the two photographs. A search of the CEF database online turned up many of the women - and their full names are now known and their records can be obtained for more detail of their role in WW1

The military service records for these Nursing Sisters can be obtained from the NAC using the References given below each name.
