In re     ANNE M. MEAGHER deceased

    This is the last will and testament of me Annie M. Meagher of Saint Johnís in the Island of Newfoundland, Spinster.     I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be first paid out of my estate, and that my said funeral expenses shall not exceed the sum of one hundred dollars.     I give and bequeath unto my cousin Ellen Noonan the sum of twenty dollars to be paid to her out of the moneys standing to my credit in the Newfoundland Savings Bank, one year after my death; and also out of the rent derived from my dwelling house No. 54 Cochrane Street, I direct that the sum of twenty four dollars be annually paid to the said Ellen Noonan for and during the term of her natural life.     I also give and bequeath to her my Silver watch and all my wearing apparel.     I give and bequeath to my cousins Sylvester and James Meagher of Aquaforte my house Silver which is marked with the letter ďMĒ to be divided equally, as to value, between them.     I give and bequeath my pair of Gold bracelets, Gold Brooch and two pair of Gold Ear Rings to Agnes Tobin daughter of William Harris Sr. Of St. Johnís Builder.     I give and bequeath to Edith Williams daughter of William Williams my writing desk.     I give and bequeath my Silver Cream Spoon marked with the letter ďMĒ to Mrs. Alice Scott of Barnes Road Widow.     I give and bequeath my Silver Cream Jug marked with the letter ďSĒ and two table spoons marked J.C.S. to Margaret Saunders daughter of John Saunders of Sydney, Cape Breton.     I give and bequeath to William Harris of St. Johnís Builder the picture of my mother now in his possession.
I give devise and bequeath my house on Cochrane Street to my executor hereinafter named to apply the net annual rent thereof towards the support of Mount Cashel subject to the annual payment of twenty four dollars to Ellen Noonan before mentioned.     I give and bequeath to John Harris of St. Johnís Merchant my executor hereinafter named the picture of Napoleon now in my possession.     The remainder of my household furniture after complying with the bequests hereinbefore made, I give and bequeath to the Reverend Mother Superioress of St. Michaelís Orphanage, Belvidere, for the use of the Orphanage, to do with is as she may think best, in the interests of the institution.     I direct that out of the moneys standing to my credit in the Newfoundland Savings Bank my executor as soon after my demise as practicable pay the sum of forty dollars to the Reverend Administrator of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint Johnís for the purpose of having Masses celebrated for the repose of my Soul, and of my two brothers Richard and Thomas Meagher.     The balance of the money standing to my credit in the Newfoundland Savings Bank and the St. Johnís branch of the Royal Bank of Canada I give and bequeath to the Ladies St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Dorcas Society, and to the Reverend Mother Superioress of St. Michaelís Orphanage Belvidere (to be applied towards the support of the Institution) in equal shares.     I appoint John Harris of Saint Johnís Merchant Executor of this my will.     Dated at St. Johnís aforesaid this 3rd day of September A.D. 1909.     Anne M. Meagher.     Signed published and declared by the said testatrix as and for her last will and testament in presence of us, who in her presence, at her request and in presence of each other have subscribed out names as witnesses hereto.     Charles H.
