PATRICK HOGAN deceased.
This is the last will and testament of me Patrick Hogan of Carbonear Butcher I give devise and bequeath all my real and personel estate in the following manner I give devise & bequeath to my sons James and John part of the land known as the Marsh measuring ninety ft frontage on Crowdy Street Extending back North one hundred and fifty feet to be divided equally between them James the eastern half and John the Western half I give devise and bequeath to my son William Hogan the peice of land on Patrick St bounded on the West by Thomas Brown and on the East by Forwards I give devise and bequeath to my son Thomas the house know as the Farm House with twenty five feet of land immediately in rear of said house also the cabbage garden in front of the same I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Mary the western end of dwelling house on Water Street and part of the cabbage garden in rear of same on conditions that she is not to sell or rent it to any person clear of those carring on the business left by me to my four sons I give devise and bequeath to my wife Bridged the eastern end of dwelling on Water St exclusive of the shop during her natural life and after her demise to become my son Patricks. I give devise and bequeath to my son Patrick a peice of land in the marsh fronting Gould Hill sufficient to build a house I give devise and bequeath the remainder of my property goods and chattels and business to my four sons Thomas Patrick James & William the business to be carried on by them and each one to have an equal share of the profits and losses but neither of them shall have any right to sell their share In the case of either of the fours sons wanting to leave the business at any time they must leave their share remain with the others and when they return they may have their share again but none of the profits made during their absence And I appoint my son Thomas Hogan executor of this my will and revoke all previous wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this writing to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand this twenty first day of January nineteen hundred and seven.
