In re FREDERICK LINFIELD. DECEASED.
This is the last Will and Testament of me, Frederick Linfield of Twillingate Dominion of Newfoundland, ShopKeeper being in ill health, and of sound and disposing mind and memory. And as to my wordly estate, and all the property, real and personal, or mixed which I shall die seized and possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I devise and bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to wit: I direct my Executors hereinafter named to pay my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses as soon after my decease as shall by them be found convenient, and whereas having my life insured in the Mutual Life Assurance Company of New York for One thousand dollars, I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Susannah Linfield the said sum of One thousand dollars, and it is my wish and desire that should there be any balance left from the said thousand dollars at her death it shall be given and handed over to my daughter Isabella Cook wife of Sidney Cook.
I give, devise and bequeath to my dear son, Edward John Linfield, my land and water side premises, my dwelling house, with the furniture and other household effects in the half part of the said dwelling house now occupied by him and all other outhouses on the Est side of the public road, my shop, Stores and Wharf on the east side of the public road situate on North Island Twillingate, also my row boat, motor boat and engine, my ten shares in the Twillingate Fire Insurance Company Limited, my three shares in the Twillingate Telephone & Electric Company Limited, all my stock in shop and stores. Conditionally that he shall support my beloved wife Susannah Linfield (his mother) during her lifetime, she is to have the use of one half the dwelling house, with the furniture and other household effects therein, also to have the use of one half of the outhouses on the west side of the public road, and at her death it shall become the property of my dear son the said Edward John Linfield his heirs and assigns for his and their sole use and behoof for ever. Al the rest and residue of my estate real, personal and mixed of which I shall die, seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled to at my decease I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Susannah Linfield, and to my son Edward John Linfield, the same to be divided equally between them, at the discretion of my wife Susannah Linfield their heirs and assigns for their sole use and behoof forever.
And lastly I appoint and nominate my son Edward John Linfield and my friend Arthur Colbourne of Twillingate Agent (at the present time) for the firm of Earle Sons & Co. Ltd. To be the executors of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I the said Frederick Linfield have to this my last will and testament subscribed my name and affixed my seal this twenty ninth day of July in the year of Our Lord One thousand nine hundred and twenty FREDERICK LINFIELD
