There are many resources available to genealogists tracing their ancestry in Ontario. In this section of OntarioGenWeb we offer overviews of the most commonly used resources as well as a few not as well known resources.
Here you can learn what each resource is, how it can be used, where it can be found, and alternative resources to try if you're having trouble locating your ancestor.

Anyone who has done any genealogy research can help. Everyone has a special area of expertise or knowledge. Have you used a resource that isn't profiled on OntarioGenWeb?
For example - have you used Voter's Lists to track down an ancestor? Could you write down how you did this so someone else can give it a try? It's that easy!
Just pick something you've done, write down how you did it, what mistakes you made and how someone else may try & avoid them, and any tips that may help someone else. Then send it in!
It doesn't have to be in "story" form. A point-list is fine (ie, 1. Pick a topic, 2. Write what you know, 3. Send it in)
What Is Needed: How-To articles/lists on any topic that fits the following criteria
1. It benefits more than one reader (ie, it doesn't focus on one family)
2. It's genealogy-related
3. It relates to Ontario, Canada
