Membership in the Quinte Branch is just $10.00, in addition to full membership in the Ontario Genealogical Society (currently $63, students $26). Note: Partial Year Membership is $37 - available June 1 to October 31 for new members only. Family membership is also available--the branch fee of $10.00 covers all family members at the same address, provided they are in the family category with OGS.

To become a member of the Quinte Branch and the OGS you can complete an  online Membership Form using the secure server at the Ontario Genealogical Society website or print a Membership Form and mail it with your membership fee.

Membership in the Ontario Genealogical Society, with 34 Branches and SIGs in Ontario:

  • includes the quarterly journal Families, newsletter Newsleaf and regular e-news about OGS events.

  • encourages members to submit name queries to the Name Game in Families, and use genealogical information compiled by OGS volunteers.

  • offers opportunity for members to participate in free monthly online webinars.

  • offers discounts on genealogy courses at the National Institute for Genealogical Studies.

  • allows the organization to carry on its work as our parent society, which includes uniformity in our projects and publications, networking between branches, and coordination of province-wide projects such as cemetery transcriptions. Check out current OGS projects.

  • allows the society to continue to be an influence on government bodies concerning: cemetery closures, preservation of records, and release of records for research.
  • offers mentorship and expertise from veteran genealogists.
  • offers opportunity to receive discounts to some of our sister organizations across Canada (more information)
