À propos du projet GenWeb du Québec
En mars et avril 1996, un groupe de généalogistes organisait
le projet d'une base de données détaillée pour
le Kentucky. L'idée était de fournir un point unique
d'entrée pour tous les comtés du Kentucky, où
les données seraient emmagasinées. De plus, les bases
de données seraient indexées et inter-reliées,
de façon à ce qu'un individu se trouve dans plusieurs
comtés, on puisse le trouver dans l'index.
Au même moment, on trouvait des volontaires pour coordonner
la collecte des données et surveiller le contenu des pages
Web. Contactez le volontaire indiqué pour la page régionale
ou du comté indiqué si vous voulez ajouter vos données
à la base de données du comté.
Maintenant, la même chose est en marche pour plusieurs
états américains, puis à travers le monde. Ceci
est le projet pour le Québec. Si un comté ou sujet vous
intéresse et que vous voulez créer et entretenir une

About the Québec GenWeb Project
In March and April, 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky
Comprehensive Genealogy Database Project. The idea was to provide
a single entry point for all counties in Kentucky, where collected
databases would be stored. In addition, the databases would be indexed
and cross-linked, so that even if an individual were found in more
than one county, they could be located in the index.
At the same time, volunteers were found who were willing to coordinate
the collection of databases and generally oversee the contents of
the web page. Contact the volunteer shown on the county page if
you have a desire to add your data to the database.
Now the same thing is in the works for many states in United states
and then the world. This is the project for Québec. If the
county or topic in which you are interested does not have a page
and you wish to participate, please contact Suzette
Leclair
