Yes, members of the Regina Branch will do family history research for you: for a modest fee. Every member who does this research has at least a Certified Saskatchewan Record Searcher designation.

Fees are in Canadian dollars for requests from within Canada, and in USA dollars for requests from outside Canada. Please note that fees are subject to change and will vary according to the complexity of your search request. We will specify the charges for your particular search before embarking on your search.

Basic Search

$35.00 per name. A certified researcher will do a basic search of Saskatchewan sources, including:
- Homestead Index and file
- Maps
- Obituary Index
- Cemetery Index and file
- Local histories
- Newspaper Index
- Saskatchewan Research Index
This search involves use of Internet, SGS Library, Provincial Archives, Public Library. You will receive a written report of the research completed and the sources checked. Your fee will cover up to $2.00 worth of copies. Quotes will be given if our direct costs are greater than $2.00.

General Research

$25.00 per hour. Please contact our treasurer if you wish to inquire about a specific search. Your request will be forwarded to a certified researcher for analysis and you will be contacted to discuss estimated time / charges. Additional costs would include copy fees.

Cemetery Search

$3.00 per name. A certified researcher will check the SGS Cemetery Index in the Rural Municipality that you wish searched. If the R.M. and specific cemetery are not known, all cemeteries within an R.M. will be checked for $10.00 per name.

Saskatchewan Records Index (SRI)

$5.00 per surname. The Saskatchewan Records Index is an index created from a variety of Saskatchewan sources. A certified researcher will do a general search for a particular surname. This cost will include up to 3 pages of printouts.

Cemetery or Historical Photos

Minimum $10.00 within Regina ($5.00 for Branch members). A Regina Branch member will take photos of grave stones in any Regina cemetery, or of homes or historical buildings in Regina. Costs will vary outside of Regina based on distance. Up to 4 photos will be sent by e-mail.

If you wish to supply an instant camera, the minimum charge of $10.00 would apply within Regina but the researcher could take as many photos as you wish. Costs will vary outside the city.
