Saskatchewan GenWeb Queries
I am looking for information about Henry William Reinwald or his wife Elizabeth Wilbur. I know they were in Laird Saskatchewan Oct 19, 1915 as this is when my grandmother, his daughter Luetta Edith was born. I believe that his brother Edward Henry Reinwald lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan until his death. Henry's parents are John and Katharine Reinwald. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, I'm looking for
information on Elizabeth Blackburn and William Thomas
Wallis, who were married in Regina or possibly
Lloydminster sometime between 1900 and 1907. Elizabeth
had emigrated from England (region not known) with her
sister Alice, brother Thomas and mother (name not known)
around 1900. William Wallis emigrated from the London
area at about the same time. They are known to have lived
also in Moose Jaw. Alice married a John Christie in
Regina or Lloydminster during the same period.
I have just heard lately that some of my Taylor ancestors left Bruce County, Ont. and settled in Unity and Biggar, Sask., and some settled in Fargo, N.D. Their families were originally from Kilcalmonell Parish, Argyllshire, Sct. and came to Canada in 1851. Anyone have any family history that matches?
Leona D. Taylor
I am researching the surnames
BRINTNELL. My great-uncle Matthew Brintnell went to Sask.
early in the 20's I think, I know that he worked for the
railroad. He and his wife, Orpha had at least 2 sons
named Truman and
Shannon Matechuk (grandson)
My grandparents had a homestead in Torch River, which is a short distance from Nipawin. My relatives still own the original homestead. They now live in Nipawin.
