As per your instructions I went to Nelson, BC on the 28th
of July to get these two woman & deport them – I saw the Chief of Police
and he said he thought they had left for Revelstoke, but I was under the
belief they were still in Nelson, with the assistance of the Police I kept
watch, and about 4 am caugh sight of them in the window of the West womans house
we went into the house but they had made their get-away – I told the West
woman that unless she produced them, I would apply to you to prosecute her as
a procures – she handed them over to the Chief – and he sent them to me as
per attached telegram – also find attached bill of expences
