I took this picture of my aunt's (Alma Friesen) several years ago, so thought it would be a start of a photo collection of graves in this cemetery. I got back to the cemetery about a month ago, and took pics of the rest of the headstones. (I had originally submitted the picture of my aunt's grave, Alma Friesen, and it is still on the website.) There are few that have fallen into unrecognizable disrepair. One with the big rock over, has no name, but someone may recognize it. If you have any questions, please call me. Thanks. The cemetery was in much better condition and a sign has been installed at the gate. I was very pleased.

In the Area of Rush Lake, there are ten cemeteries, of which this is one of them, the one just south of town on the main road into Rush Lake, land description (NW 36-16-11 W3)

The others are;
Peace Lutheran Religious Org SW17-18-11-W3 established in 1913 with up to 210 internments by 2009. Internment listing by the Saskatchewan Genealogy Society is available on microfilm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Family History Centers.


Christ Lutheran Cemetery NW6-18-11-W3 established in 1912 with 40 burials by 1951. Transcript of burials also available at the family history centers.

DYCK Private NE26-17-11-W3 with four burials noted.Transcript of burials also available at the family history centers.

Ebenezer Mennonite cemeterySE31-17-11-W3 established in1908 with 18 burials by 1972. Transcript of burials also available at the family history centers.
ESAU Private SE5-18-10-W3 with two internments by 1990. Transcript of burials also available at the family history centers.

Rush Lake - Evangelical Religious Org NE7-18-11-W3 Bretheren, Evangelical, United 1921 2007 24 2009 2003 Transcript of burials also available at the family history centers.

FRIESEN/FUNK Private SE34-19-10-W3 started in about1914 with a total of 4 burials by 1990. Recorded by the Saskatchewan Genealogy Society.

Rosenbach/Ginther Mennonite Cemetery SW12-16-11-W3 with 31 by 1999

Rush Lake Community NW36-16-11-W3 established circa 1910 with up to 34 burials by1970. As listed here. Note from Grace Peters. The NW 36-16-11 W3 one was established in 1910 and my auntie was buried there in 1913 and I believe she was the first person buried there.
