    "My great grandfather Colin Macleay was sent to Saltcoats(by Imperial Colonization Board) in 1890 to teach the settlers children. First in an empty house. As soon as he arrived he began to organize a school district. When the first school was built the following year he became the first school teacher a position he held for 15 years."
