| APPLETON | Three brothers and two sisters of my late wife's maternal
Grandfather William APPLETON emigrated from Ashton in
Makerfield, Lancashire to Canada btween 1909 and 1913. Some settled in
Alberta and some in British Columbia. William and his brother Joseph
stayed in England, but lost contact. The website "Our Lancashire Appletons" was set up as a tribute to Brian late wife's Appleton ancestors and it contains an enormous family tree and photographs of a Reunion held in Taber, Alberta in 2002 which was attended by 90+ descendants of these brothers and sisters. |
| GANDY | My research on the GANDY family of Penketh and Widnes can be found on the web site www.gandy.st This web site mainly concerns great grandfather´s uncle, another Isaac Gandy, who emigrated to Utah in the US. However there is some information about Canada on a page called Across the Atlantic. |
| GRAY | The GRAY family immigrated to Victoria, British Columbia from London during 1907 to 1910, led by John Edward Gray and his wife, Sophia FOSDICK. |
| PROUDFOOT | William PROUDFOOT was born in Scotland (1769). His son James emigrated to Canada (PEI). Future generations settled in Alberta and British Columbia. |
