The many friends of Mrs. Selina Eustice, widow of John Eustice, 518 Wilson Street, will reget to hear of her death on Saturday after a brief illness. Although in the best of health until Thursday she suffered a stroke then and died two days later. Her husband, John Eustice, died exactly 20 years ago, meeting a horrible death after being mangled by a vicious horse in a barn near Binbrook on March 20, 1902. He was well known in this city and in 1892 he became a popular figure when he captained the celebrated Barton tug-of-war team to the world's championship at the Chicago World's Fair. Mrs. Eustice is survived by four sons: James of San Diego, Cal; John R. of Calgary; Davis E. of New York and Walter of this city; four daughters, Mrs. H. N. Thomas and Mrs. J.H. Gould of this city; Mrs. J. Shephard of Assiniboia, and Mrs. James Cook of Bredenbury, Sask; one brother Walter Russell of Assinibois, Sask; and two sisters Mrs. H. Kartzmark of this city, and Mrs. J. Wallace of Stoney Creek. The funeral will take place from her residence tomorrow morning at 8:30 o'clock to St. Ann's Church for service. Internment will be at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery." ..." SQUIRE - Fell asleep in Jesus, January 24th, Eliza Ann, Beloved wife of Rowland Quire, aged 72 years. Funeral from her late residence, 27 Victoria Ave. north, Wednesday at 1 pm. Burial at Stoney Creek. Friends will please omit flowers."
