About Us
Our Purpose: The Roots and Gold Dust Genealogical Society of El Dorado County was founded in 1979 to aid and encourage its members and the general public in seeking their genealogical roots.
Our Objectives: v To collect and preserve private and public historic records and make them available for research. v To assist in tracing those who came to California during the Gold Rush. v To add to the inventory of books and other resource materials the Society has donated to the Placerville Family History Center Library.
