RESEARCH
AND RESOURCES
El Dorado County, the birth place of the California Gold Rush, drew
thousands of people during the mid-1800’s.
Most came in hopes of making the big strike and going back home
rich. Some made that strike, some
didn’t. Some went home, some stayed. Some found an early grave and some stayed
on as farmers, ranchers and trades people building the area as we know it
today. Whatever they did, they have a
story. Some stories are widely known,
some not so much, and some stories were taken to the grave.
This
page will take you to various resources available to help you in your
research.
