(Booklet p. 4) Commencing at the northwest corner of section six, township five north, range seven east; thence running north two miles, thence east two miles; thence north two and a half miles, more or less, to the Grant line; thence northeasterly along said Grant line to the south line of Pierce's claim; thence southeast along said south line to the section line between sections nine and ten, township six north, range seven east; thence south three-quarters of a mile, more or less, to the northwest corner of section fifteen, said township and range; thence west half a mile; thence south through the center of sections sixteen, twenty-one, twenty-eight and thirty-three, four miles to the township line between townships five and six north, range seven east,; thence east a quarter of a mile; thence south one mile, thence east four miles, thence north one mile; thence east six miles, more or less, to the east line of the county; thence south to the southeast corner of the county, where it is intersected by Dry Creek; thence westerly along said creek to the range line between ranges six and seven; thence north along the range line to the place of beginning.
AMERICAN DISTRICT Commencing at the northeast corner of section sixteen, township nine north, range five east; running thence west to the Sacramento river; thence southeasterly along said river to its junction with the American river; thence easterly along the American river to where it crosses the line between sections three and four, township eight north, range five east; thence north to the place of beginning.
American River District
Commencing at a point on the American river, where it is intersected by the section line between sections ten and eleven, township eight north, range five east; thence south one and a half miles, more or less, to the northeast corner of Langdon's ranch, being the northeast corner of section twenty-two, said township and range; thence west to the center of the section line between sections eighteen and nineteen, said township and range; thence north till it reaches the eastern boundary line of Sacramento City; thence north along said line to the American river; thence easterly along said river to the place of beginning.
Ashland District
Commencing at a point on the American river, between section thirteen, township ten north, range six east and section eighteen, township ten north, range seven east, this being the northeast corner of Center township; thence running south to the American river; thence northeasterly along said river to its intersection with the northern boundary of the county; thence west along said boundary to the place of beginning.
Brighton District
(Booklet p. 4) Commencing at a point on the American river, where it is intersected by the section line between sections six and seven, township eight north, range six east; thence south two and a half miles, more or less, to the northeast corner of Kellogg's land, in section nineteen, said township and range; thence east two one and a half miles, to the southeast corner of Hunt's land- being the southeast corner of section sixteen, said township and range; thence north to the township line between townships eight and nine eight and nine - being the southwest corner of section thirty-four, township nine north, range six east; thence west to the American river; thence along said river to the place of beginning.
