1865 - 1866.
Davis District
(Booklet p. 6) Commencing at the northwest corner of the claim known as the Pierce claim, where it intersects the Cosumnes river near the southwest corner of section thirty, township seven north, range seven east; thence following the boundary line running in a southeast course, to near the center of section four, township six north, range seven east; thence southwest along the eastern line of the same claim, to a point where it intersects the section line running between sections eight and nine, same township and range, thence south along the section line between sections sixteen and seventeen, twenty and twenty-one, township six north, range seven east; to the southeast corner of section twenty, township six north, range seven east; thence due west five miles, more or less, along the section line to a point where it intersects the Cosumnes river; thence northeasterly along said river to the place of beginning. (My inclusion - On p. 89 Nov. 8, 1865, Vol H, a petition for a new School District to be called Davis was read and granted. These boundaries are the result of the building of that district per that November meeting, and are included in these present minutes.)
Dry Creek District
(Booklet p. 6) Commencing at the northeast corner of section twenty-four, township five north, range six east; running thence west six and a half miles, more or less, to the Cosumnes river; thence southwesterly along said river to its intersection with Dry Creek; near the center of section twenty-seven, township five north, range five east; thence easterly along said creek to the range line between ranges six and seven; thence north along said range line to the place of beginning.
Eagle Point District
(Booklet p. 6) Commencing on the Sacramento river where it is intersected by the township line between townships six and seven; thence running east one mile, more or less, to the northwest corner of section one, township six north, range four east; thence north one and a half miles; thence east a quarter of a mile, to the southwest corner of Miller's land; thence north half a mile; thence west to the Sacramento river; thence southerly along said river to the place of beginning.
Elder Creek District
Minutes p. 163 (Booklet p. 7) Commencing at the northwest corner of section twenty-one, township eight north, range five east; running thence east one and a half miles to the northwest corner of Landon's ranch; thence south half a mile to the center of section twenty-two, said township and range, thence one mile and a half east, to the southeast corner of Lockett's claim - this being the southeast corner of the northeast quarter of section twenty-three, said township and range, thence south three and one-half miles to the southeast corner of section two, township seven north, range five east; thence east two miles, to the northeast corner of section nine, said township and range, thence north half a mile; thence west one mile, through the center of section four, said township and range; thence north three and a half miles, to the place of beginning.
*Elk Grove District
(See "ERRATA") (Booklet p. 7) Commencing at a point in the center of the section line between sections three and ten, township seven north, range five east, running thence east two and a half miles, to the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of section twelve, said township and range, thence south half a mile to the center of section twelve, said township and range, thence east one and a half miles to the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of section seven, township seven north, range six east; thence south two and a half miles, to the northeast corner of section thirty, said township and range, thence west three and a half miles, to the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of section twenty-two, township seven north, range five east; thence north to the place of beginning, through the center of sections twenty-two, fifteen and ten, said township and range.
Excelsior District
(Booklet p. 7) Commencing in the center of section nine, township seven north, range six east; running thence east three and one-half miles to the range line between ranges six and seven; thence north along said range line four and one-half miles, to the northeast corner of section twenty-four, township eight north, range six east; thence west to the Jackson road, five and one-half miles, more or less; thence southeasterly along said road (Booklet p. 8) to the northwest corner of section twenty-seven, said township and range; thence south half a mile, excluding Joseph Downing; thence west half a mile to the center of section twenty-eight;
