Natoma District

(Booklet p. 12) Commencing at the southwest corner of section thirty-one, township ten north, range eight east; thence running east to the eastern boundary of the county; thence northerly along said eastern boundary to the northern limit of the county; (Booklet p. 13) thence west along the American river to the range line dividing Natoma and Granite townships; thence south to the place of beginning.

 

Oak Grove District

(Booklet p. 13) Commencing at the northeast corner of section thirty-three, township ten north, range five east, being the northeast corner of American District; running thence west ten and a half miles, more or less, to the Sacramento river; thence southerly along said river to the southwest corner of section seven, township nine north, range four east; thence easterly along the river to the intersection of said river with the section line between sections eight and seventeen, township nine north, range four east; thence easterly to the southeast corner of section nine, township nine north, range five east; thence north to the place of beginning.

 

Onisbo District

(Booklet p. 13) Commencing at the northeast corner of section one, township five north, range four east; running thence west two miles, to the northwest corner of section two, said township and range; thence south one mile; thence northwest to the Sacramento river, - where it is intersected by the land of Calloway; thence southerly along the said river to Steamboat Slough; thence southerly along said Slough to its intersection by the third section line south of the township line between townships five and six; thence east, running between the claims of Blair and Davis, to the Sacramento river; thence across said river and between the ranches of Odell and Lemoin, to the section line between sections fourteen and twenty-three, township five north, range four east; thence along said line to the northeast corner of section twenty-four, said township and range; thence north three miles, to the place of beginning.

 

Pacific District

(Booklet p. 13) Commencing at the southwest corner of the southeast quarter of section thirty-six, township eight north, range four east; running thence north two miles, to the section line between sections twenty-four and twenty-five, township eight north, range four east, being the northwest corner of the northeast one-quarter of said section twenty-five; thence east one (Booklet p. 14) half mile; thence north one-half mile; thence east one mile to the section line between sections nineteen and twenty, township eight north, range five east; thence north one-half mile to the southeast corner of section eighteen, said township and range; thence east one mile, to the northeast corner of section twenty, said township and range; thence south three and a half miles; thence west two miles, through the center of sections five and six, township seven north, range five east, thence north one-half mile; thence west one-half a mile to the place of beginning.

Pleasant Grove District

Point Pleasant District

Rhoads District

(Booklet p. 15) Commencing at a point on the Cosumnes river where the line between Kidder and Murray intersects said river; running thence westerly along said line to the Grant Line Road; thence southwest along said road to the range line between ranges six and seven; thence north two and a half miles; thence east to the intersection of Jackson Road; thence south along said road, including the Slough House to the intersection of a road leading to Austin's bridge; thence along said road to the south side of said bridge; thence with Austin's northeast line to the intersection of the range line between ranges seven and eight, near the southeast line of the Hartnell grant; thence south three miles, more or less, along said range line to the southeast corner of section thirty-six; township seven north, range seven east; thence west two miles, more or less, to the southeast line of the Hartnell grant, near the northwest corner of section two, township six north, range seven east; thence along said Grant line to its intersection with the section line between sections nine and ten, same township and range, the same being the same corner of lot seven of the Hartnell grant; thence northwest along the southwest line of said lot number seven, to Cosumnes river; thence up said river to the place of beginning.

 

Richland District

(Booklet p. 16) Commencing at a point on the Sacramento river where it is intersected by the township line between townships six and seven north, range four east; thence due east to the section line between sections thirty-three and thirty-six, township seven north, range four east; thence due south four miles, to the northwest corner of section twenty-five, township six north, range four east; thence east one mile; thence south two miles, along the western boundary of the Franklin District, to the southeast corner of section thirty-six, same range and town ship; thence west two miles; thence south one mile; thence northwesterly three miles, more or less, to the northwest corner of G. Calloway's claim; thence up the Sacramento river to the place of beginning.

San Joaquin District

(Booklet p. 16) Commencing at the northwest corner of section eleven, township six north, range five east; thence running east two and a half miles to the northwest corner of the northeast quarter of section seven, township six north, range six east - being the northwest corner of one Barkman's land; thence north one mile; thence east to the Cosumnes river; thence southwesterly along said river to where it intersects the township line between townships five and six north, range five east, being at or near the southwest corner of section thirty-six, township six north, range five east; thence west one mile, more or less, to the southwest corner of section thirty-five, said township and range; thence north along the west line of sections thirty-five, twenty-six, twenty-three, fourteen, and eleven, said township and range, to the place of beginning. These boundaries are intended to include F. Graham, as per Act of Supervisors, March, 1864.

 

Sutter District

(Booklet p. 16) Commencing at the Sacramento river where the southern boundary of Sacramento city intersects said river; running thence southeasterly along the southern boundary of said city to the southeast corner of said boundary; thence southwesterly to the northwest corner of the northeast quarter of section eighteen, township eight north, range five east; thence south one mile; thence east one-half mile, to the northeast (Booklet p. 17) corner of section nineteen; township eight north, range five east, thence south one-half mile,; thence west through the center of section nineteen one mile; thence south one-half mile, to the southwest corner of said section nineteen; thence west one-half mile; thence south one and three-quarter miles; thence west one-half mile, to the section line between sections thirty-five and thirty-six, township eight north, range four east; thence north one-quarter of a mile; thence west one mile, through the center of section thirty-five; thence south one-half mile; thence west two miles, more or less, to the Sacramento river; thence northerly along said river to the place of beginning.

 

Sylvan District

(Booklet p. 17) Commencing at a point on the northern boundary of Sacramento county, where the line between Mississippi and Center townships intersects the same; thence south six miles, more or less, to the American river; thence along said river west to the line between Center and American townships; thence north four and a half miles, more or less, thence east five and a half miles to the center of section nine north, range six east; thence north through the center of section four, said township and range, of sections thirty-three, twenty-eight, twenty-one, and sixteen, township ten north, range six east, to the northern limit of the county; thence east to the place of beginning.

Union District

(Booklet p. 17) Commencing at a point on the north bank of the Cosumnes river where the claims of Hobbs and Wakeman [or Cox] intersects said river; thence up said river to a point which would be the intersection of the boundary line between the claims of Kidder and Murray and the Cosumnes river; thence northwesterly along the dividing line between said Murray and Kidder to the Grant Line road; thence down said road in a southwesterly direction to a point where the division line between said Hobbs and Wakeman [or Cox] intersects said road; thence along said division line to the place of beginning.

 

Viola District

(Booklet p. 17) Commencing at a point on the American river where it is intersected by the section line between sections fifteen and six- (Booklet p. 18) teen, township nine north, range seven east; thence running northeasterly along said river to the mouth of Willow slough; thence along said slough to the northeast corner of section one, said township and range; thence east along the township line between sections nine and ten, one mile; thence south four miles, to the southeast corner of section nineteen, township nine north, range eight east; thence west one mile; thence south five miles, to the southwest corner of Natoma township; thence west three miles; thence north to the place of beginning.

 

Walnut Grove District

(Booklet p. 18) Commencing at the northeast corner of section twenty-five, township five north, range four east; thence running west to the north corner of Odell's tract; thence between the claims of Odell and Lemoin, to the Sacramento river; thence across the Sacramento river , running between the claims of Blair and Davis to Davis' southwest corner; thence west to Steamboat Slough; thence southerly along said slough to where it intersects the section line between sections one and twelve, two and eleven, three and ten, four and nine, and five and eight, township four north, range four east; thence east along said line to the Mokelumne river; thence up the said river to the southeast corner of section thirty-six, township five north, range four east; thence north to the place of beginning.

 

West Union District

(Booklet p. 18) Commencing at a point on the Sacramento river where the township line between sections seven and eight strikes said river, between the ranches of Scott and Walch; thence down said river to where it intersects the section line between sections twelve and eighteen, township eight north, range four east; thence east one and a quarter miles, more or less, to the range line between ranges four and five - being the southeast corner of section twelve, township seven north, range four east; thence north one half mile; thence east one half mile, to the center of section seven, township seven north, range five east; thence north one-half mile; thence east a quarter of a mile; thence north one-half a mile, thence east a quarter of a mile; thence north a half a mile; thence west three-quarters of a mile, to the range line between ranges four and five; (Booklet p. 19) thence north half a mile; thence west half a mile; to Foster's southwest corner; thence north a quarter of a mile; thence west half a mile; thence north a quarter of a mile; thence west one mile, more or less, to the place of beginning.

 

 

White Rock District

Wilson District

Commencing at a point on the south line of Natoma township where Carson creek intersects said line - being in section nineteen, township eight north, range eight east; thence running south along Carson creek to where said creek crosses the range line between ranges seven and eight; thence south to the Cosumnes river; thence along said river to the southwest corner of section five, township seven north, range eight east; thence south one mile, to the southeast corner of section seven, said township and range; thence west one mile; thence south one mile, to the east line of Austin's claim, of the Hartnell Grant; thence northwesterly along said east line to Austin's bridge; thence across said bridge and northwesterly along a road leading to the Slough House, excluding said Slough House; thence west to the Jackson road; thence along the Jackson road, to the range line between ranges six and seven, through the center of sections thirty-two and thirty-one, township eight north, range seven east; thence north two and a half miles, to the northwest corner of section nineteen, said township and range; thence east six and a half miles, more or less, to the place of beginning.
