Michigan Bar Bridge
The Day family has in their collection a postcard written to a family member on May 4, 1911, excitedly telling the news of the "new bridge". The Day's are sure their ancestor was talking about the Michigan Bar Bridge since their family settled near the bridge.

Michigan Bar Bridge
located in Michigan Bar.
The bridge was built in 1909 and is just under 13 feet wide.

This is an exerpt of the reconstruction plans for the bridge developed
in August, 1909. The bridge, today, looks like the top section with a short guide
rail. The "covered" part on the bridge as pictured in the plans was never
constructed.
